During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sensor Solutions faced the formidable challenge of maintaining critical test programs across various industries while adhering to strict health and safety protocols. One particularly pressing task involved a car manufacturer in Slovakia that required precision testing of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). The project was essential to the client’s production timeline, and Sensor Solutions needed to find a way to execute the work seamlessly despite travel restrictions and on-site limitations.
Solution: Adaptation and Remote Collaboration

- Shipping and Preparation:
- The customer shipped the PCB components to Sensor Solutions facility for the necessary strain gauge installation and calibration.
- Once the strain gauge work was completed, Sensor Solutions arranged for the PCBs and Data Acquisition (DAQ) system to be securely shipped back to Slovakia.
- Addressing Expertise Gaps:
- The customer had limited experience with the DAQ system and no available time for training before their testing program was scheduled to begin. This posed a potential bottleneck in the project timeline.
- Remote Execution:
- To bridge this gap, Sensor Solutions engineers took remote control of the DAQ system from their location.
- Sensor Solutions managed the data collection process in real-time, allowing the customer to focus on running their testing program without the added burden of mastering the new system.
