Fatigue Life Monitoring

Sensor Solutions has worked closely with manufacturers developing fatigue monitoring systems for prototype development. During prototype construction our staff integrate into the design team for the build, instrumenting the structure so that required stress, strain and loadings can be measured.

During prototype testing this instrumentation streams back comprehensive data on the performance of the structure and its components as they are subjected to the test loadings and stresses.

We can then process this data to calculate fatigue life information for each part of the structure, which is fed back to the design team. This enables the prototype to be refined for greater efficiency and reliability, and then undergo further testing, until a final optimum production model is approved for manufacture.
